Basketball Game Preview: King/Drew Golden Eagles vs. La Salle Lancers

Having just played yesterday, the King/Drew Golden Eagles will jump right back in to play the La Salle Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. King/Drew will be strutting in after a win while La Salle will be coming in after a defeat.

King/Drew took a 24-point loss the last time they faced off against South Pasadena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Tigers 65-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since January 24th.

Meanwhile, La Salle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Pasadena.

La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for King/Drew, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

King/Drew came up short against La Salle in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 63-50. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
