Preview: Logan Grizzlies vs. Bear River Bears
Logan and Bear River are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Logan Grizzlies will head out on the road to take on the Bear River Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Logan suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 last Thursday. They were dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Mountain Crest.
Meanwhile, Bear River's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-33 walloping at the hands of Mountain Crest.
Bear River's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubree Fry, who scored 11 points along with five steals, and Brooklynn Pond who scored eight points.
Logan bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Bear River, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Logan took a serious blow against Bear River in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 67-33. Can Logan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
