Softball Recap: Metcalfe County Comes Up Short

Metcalfe County lost against Bowling Green back in May of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Purples by a score of 6-4. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metcalfe County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Groce, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Morgan Avery, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Metcalfe County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bowling Green, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4-1.

Coming up, Metcalfe County will challenge Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Commanders at the right time seeing as the Commanders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Bowling Green, they will head out on the road to take on Boyd County at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
