Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against MacDonald last Monday, King's Academy came back down to earth. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Palo Alto Vikings on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 24-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Trey Sherman paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 24 kills. Sherman got some help from Andronico Netto and his 32 assists. Netto was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Palo Alto, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. King's Academy will face off against rival Eastside College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Palo Alto is set to take on their familiar foe Santa Clara at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
