Whitewater hadn't done well against Lakeside Lutheran recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Whippets had just enough and edged out the Warriors 12-10. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Whippets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jennifer Gosh was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Falyn Krahn, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Whitewater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Whitewater is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeside Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
