Africentric Early College hasn't had much luck against Walnut Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Africentric Early College Nubians will look to defend their home field against the Walnut Ridge Scots at 7:00 p.m.

Africentric Early College lost 35-14 to St. Francis DeSales on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Nubians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Stallions are ranked 89th).

Despite the defeat, Africentric Early College got top-tier performance from Caleb Anthony, who picked up 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards on only seven carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Josh Smith, who threw for 105 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
