Football Recap: Williston-Elko Comes Up Short

Williston-Elko was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 25-8 bruising from the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ridge Spring-Monetta had a senior duo take command as Akiem Mills gained 112 total yards and a touchdown and Chandler Harley threw for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Harley's passing game has become a key predictor of the Trojans' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

Williston-Elko's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
