Cooper was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Como-Pickton on Saturday. The Cooper Bulldogs put the hurt on the Como-Pickton Eagles with a sharp 16-5 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Jace Meeks and Courion Finney did most of the damage at the plate: Meeks scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Finney scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Meeks a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Tyler Moses, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Cooper back to even at 1-1. As for Como-Pickton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cooper will venture away from home to take on Prairiland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Como-Pickton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Whitewright at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
