Marmion came into Friday's game looking for another win against Marian Catholic, but Kyle Scott wouldn't allow it. The Spartans strolled past the Cadets with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-20 with plenty of help from Scott, who rushed for 265 yards and two scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 112.8 rushing yards per game.

Marian Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braxton Henry and Nick Ventura.

Marian Catholic picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Marmion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Marian Catholic and Marmion could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Marian Catholic (ranked 263rd) will meet St. Francis (ranked 30th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Marmion will challenge IC Catholic Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (220 vs. 24).
