Chapman came out on top against Riley County on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Irish were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Falcons. The victory was familiar territory for the Irish, who have now won four contests in a row.

Aven Woods was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Chapman: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Levi Willmann also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Chapman's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Riley County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Falcons beat Chapman by a score of 12-2 later that day.
