Baseball Recap: Logan County Takes a Loss

If Logan County was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Westmoreland on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Bowling Green Purples by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purples this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in March.

Logan County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tripp Wadlington, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Logan County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Bowling Green, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan County will face off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowling Green, they will square off against McLean County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Purples surely won't give up without a fight.
