Basketball Game Preview: Washington Bulldogs vs. Carver Panthers

Washington is on an eight-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Carver an 11-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Washington Bulldogs will host the Carver Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Washington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-56 to Hapeville Charter.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-37, which was the final score in Carver's tilt against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Warriors are ranked 70th).

Carver's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Washington was able to grind out a solid win over Carver in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 69-60. Does Washington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carver turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
