Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenville H). Everything went their way against the Upstate Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-1 victory. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Greenville H got a great performance from JJ Nixon as he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave Nixon a new career-high.

At the plate, Owen Giles was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Greenville H is 3-1 when Giles posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Sepko, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Greenville H always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was the third in a row for Greenville H, bringing their record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Upstate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Greenville H has already played their next contest (against Anderson C), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Upstate, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 defeat against North Georgia HomeSchool on the 12th.
