Football Recap: Brennan Bears vs. Harlan Hawks
After flying high against Sotomayor last Saturday, Brennan came back down to earth. The Bears took a 31-14 bruising from the Harlan Hawks on Saturday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Harlan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aldric Trotter led the charge by throwing for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 45 yards. Jordan Grady was Trotter's top target, picking up 32 receiving yards, while also punching in two scores on the ground.
Having lost for the first time this season, Brennan fell to 3-1. As for Harlan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Coincidentally, Brennan and Harlan will both be playing O'Connor the next time they take the field. The Hawks will host the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
