Basketball Game Preview: Roswell Coyotes vs. Clovis Wildcats

Roswell is 0-10 against Clovis since February of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Roswell Coyotes will host the Clovis Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Roswell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Carlsbad, who was ranked 16th at the time (Roswell was ranked 24th). Roswell lost 58-34 to Carlsbad on Friday. The Coyotes' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Meanwhile, Clovis played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Hobbs 69-41. The Wildcats were down 58-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Roswell's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Clovis, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5.

Things could have been worse for Roswell, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Clovis in their previous matchup last Friday.
