The East Peoria Raiders will square off against the Richwoods Knights at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. East Peoria is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

East Peoria is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since April 11, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out East Moline United 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Connor Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Auggie Lohnes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Mason Watson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richwoods). They were the clear victors by a 21-3 margin over Peoria on Monday.

East Peoria's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Richwoods, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

East Peoria beat Richwoods 6-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does East Peoria have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richwoods turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
