Avon Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sun Valley Vanguards a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Avon Grove pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Sun Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon Grove will venture away from home to square off against Henderson at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Sun Valley, they will head out to take on Bayard Rustin at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Vanguards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Knights have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
