Baseball Recap: Schroon Lake Comes Up Short

Schroon Lake lost against Lake Placid back in May of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bombers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayce Emmert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Schroon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lake Placid, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Schroon Lake is set to take on their familiar foe Wells at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lake Placid will square off against rival Boquet Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
