Basketball Recap: Laguna Hills Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Laguna Hills won the last time they faced Buena Park, and Jackson Burnham did his part to make sure it happened again. The Laguna Hills Hawks strolled past the Buena Park Coyotes with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 84-67 thanks in part to Burnham, who posted 33 points. The match was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Hudson Fleming, who had nine points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Buena Park still got an impressive performance from Emmanuel Charagu, who scored 26 points and five steals. Charagu is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ernesto Portas, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.

Laguna Hills has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Buena Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.
