Baseball Game Preview: Suncoast Chargers vs. Palm Beach Central Broncos

Suncoast is 2-7 against Palm Beach Central since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Suncoast Chargers will be playing at home against the Palm Beach Central Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Suncoast earned a 5-2 victory over Forest Hill. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Suncoast got a great performance from Hayden Neihoff as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Neihoff didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Suncoast let Brady Chandler and Colin Campbell loose on the outfield. Chandler scored a run while going 1-for-1, while Campbell scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Seminole Ridge on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by just one run.

Ernesto Hernandez looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Ryan Levy was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Palm Beach Central and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Suncoast, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
