Football Recap: Parish Episcopal Falls Despite Big Games from Beckham Smith and Sawyer Anderson

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Parish Episcopal can now relate to. They lost 45-24 to the Liberty Christian Warriors on Saturday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Parish Episcopal had strong showings from Sawyer Anderson, who threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns, and Beckham Smith, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of Anderson's aerial production (100 yards to be exact) also went to Bryson Fields.

It was another big night for Chase Garnett, who rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 85 receiving yards for Liberty Christian. Those 236 rushing yards gave Garnett a new career-high. Quinn Murphy was another key player, throwing for 276 yards and four touchdowns.

Parish Episcopal moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Liberty Christian, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
