Softball Recap: Nevada Union Comes Up Short

Nevada Union couldn't beat Placer on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Miners came up short against the Hillmen, falling 20-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hillmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in March.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Placer, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada Union will venture away from home to square off against Laguna Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Placer, they will head out to face off against Twelve Bridges at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
