Basketball Game Preview: Homestead Mustangs vs. Silver Creek Raiders

Having just played yesterday, the Homestead Mustangs will jump right back in to play the Silver Creek Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Homestead has given up an average of 49.8 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Homestead's tournament run continued when they took on Artesia on Friday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 67-60.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 57-40 to American.

Silver Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Homestead, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything went Homestead's way against Silver Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Homestead made off with a 70-50 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
