Baseball Game Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders

Olympian is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 3:15 p.m. Olympian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Mater Dei Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Saturday, Olympian came up short against Francis Parker and fell 7-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olympian got a good showing from Grant Hill, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Olympian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Cintron, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to West Hills by a score of 6-3. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly three runs.

Olympian's record is now 11-8. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their record now sits at 9-7.

Olympian suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Mater Dei Catholic when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
