Basketball Game Preview: West Cabarrus Wolverines vs. Harding University Rams

Two dominant guards in Camari McCrae and Kingston Henry are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Cabarrus Wolverines just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Harding University Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Cabarrus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Harding University likes a good challenge.

West Cabarrus will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Central Cabarrus, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Wolverines blew past the Vikings, posting a 79-43 victory.

Meanwhile, Harding University ended up a good deal behind Hickory Ridge on Tuesday and lost 67-53.

West Cabarrus has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points over those games. As for Harding University, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

West Cabarrus was able to grind out a solid victory over Harding University in their previous matchup back in January, winning 69-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
