It's playoff time, and Ponte Vedra had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Columbia Tigers an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Columbia from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Natalie McCann led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory (which was Ponte Vedra's third in a row) raised their record to 13-3-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5-1.

Ponte Vedra will host Mosley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponte Vedra is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
