Baseball Recap: Sunday's Loss Ends Boston College High's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Boston College High finally came back down to earth on Sunday. They lost 6-0 to St. John's Prep. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 10, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Matt Reardon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

The loss snapped Boston College High's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-6 record. As for St. John's Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
