Manteno came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Genoa-Kingston Cogs by a score of 2-0.

Manteno's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Derrico, who had eight digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Leah Donnelly, who had eight assists and five digs.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Genoa-Kingston, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 22-12.
