Baseball Recap: Abbott Takes a Loss

Abbott entered their match against Thorndale on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Abbott Panthers fell 10-5 to the Thorndale Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Abbott now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Thorndale, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Abbott will take on Bynum at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abbott is facing Bynum at the right time seeing as Bynum is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Thorndale, they will head out on the road to square off against Rosebud-Lott at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Thorndale knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Rosebud-Lott likes a good challenge.
