Baseball Recap: Juab Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Juab won the last time they faced Manti and things went their way on Monday too. The Wasps walked away with an 8-5 win over the Templars. The victory was familiar territory for the Wasps, who have now won three matches in a row.

Corbin Buchanan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Park, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Connor Cowan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Juab's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Manti, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
