Piedmont Hills entered their tilt with Del Mar on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Piedmont Hills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Piedmont Hills' win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Del Mar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

Coincidentally, Piedmont Hills and Del Mar will both be playing Leland the next time they take the court. The Dons will head out to face the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
