Basketball Recap: Miami-Yoder Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes lost to the Weldon Valley Warriors on the road by a 29-15 margin. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Miami-Yoder lost, don't look at Kylie McKnight. Despite the final result, she posted five points and four steals.

Annie Onufrak had a dynamite game for Weldon Valley, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Onufrak a new career-high.

Miami-Yoder's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Weldon Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Miami-Yoder and Cotopaxi will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Weldon Valley and Lone Star will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
