Softball Recap: Black River Falls Tigers vs. La Crosse Logan Rangers
Black River Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the La Crosse Logan Rangers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.
Rylea Lindow put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Lindow wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Berg, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Avynlei Christesen, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Black River Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for La Crosse Logan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Black River Falls will venture away from home to square off against Westby at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for La Crosse Logan, they will head out to challenge Holmen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
