Basketball Recap: Cherry Takes a Loss

If Cherry was riding high fresh off their 64-14 takedown of Littlefork-Big Falls last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cherry Tigers took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bigfork Huskies. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Cherry's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bigfork, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Cherry will head out to take on Littlefork-Big Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherry is facing Littlefork-Big Falls at the right time seeing as Littlefork-Big Falls is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bigfork, they will face off against Mesabi East at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Mesabi East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Bigfork likes a good challenge.
