Franklin Academy won the last time they faced Triangle Math & Science Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 59-30. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Smith, who posted six points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Those seven assists gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Franklin Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Triangle Math & Science Academy only racked up three.

Triangle Math & Science Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hansen Howard, who scored seven points.

Franklin Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Triangle Math & Science Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.

Franklin Academy will take on East Wake Academy in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Triangle Math & Science Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Voyager Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
