Basketball Recap: P. Auguste and J. Julmeus Secure Win for Ridge Community

There's no place like home for Ridge Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Explorers 32-13 on Monday.

Leading Ridge Community to victory were J. Julmeus and P. Auguste. Julmeus posted 14 points and seven rebounds, while Auguste dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Claire Curry, who earned no points in addition to 11 boards and five blocks, and Caralyn Izzo, who scored no points. That's the most rebounds Curry has posted since back in December of 2023.

Ridge Community's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Ridge Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 35-20 victory against Bartow on the 14th. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy has also already played their next contest, a 33-11 defeat against Discovery on the 14th.
