If Ledyard was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of New London on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colonels took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Killingly Redmen on Sunday. The Colonels' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Alana Ninteau made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Bonser, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Ledyard's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Killingly, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While Ledyard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
