Volleyball Game Preview: Cibola Cougars vs. Los Lunas Tigers

The Cibola Cougars will take on the Los Lunas Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cibola is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Cibola had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Eldorado on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Golden Eagles 3-0.

Cibola got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 34-32, 25-11, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Los Lunas faced Albuquerque in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Los Lunas' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Cibola, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
