Baseball Recap: Sonoma Academy Falls Short of Saint Mary's in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sonoma Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 11-1 to the Saint Mary's Panthers on Wednesday. The Coyotes were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Panthers' pitchers proved too tough.

Mack Mahoney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Sonoma Academy moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Saint Mary's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season.
