Softball Recap: Huron Drops Highest Score of Season Against Firelands

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Huron). They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over the Firelands Falcons on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Huron is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Firelands, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will face off against Port Clinton at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Firelands, they will take on Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
