Volleyball Recap: Phelps Takes Down White Lake in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Phelps walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the White Lake Lakers on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

While Phelps won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-21.

Phelps can attribute much of their success to Addison Szuta, who had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave Szuta a new career-high.

Phelps' victory bumped their record up to 15-22. As for White Lake, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Phelps didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Florence on the 23rd. White Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
