Basketball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 47-34 to the Mancelona Ironmen. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ironmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Mancelona, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Lake City and Mancelona could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Lake City (ranked 577th) will meet Roscommon (ranked 105th) at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. Similarly, Mancelona will square off against Inland Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday down 342 places (502 vs. 160).
