Baseball Recap: Tuscarora Drops Highest Score of Season Against Liverpool

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tuscarora). They put the hurt on the Liverpool Warriors with a sharp 11-3 win on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ashton Peshke made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peshke was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in June of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michael Kozikowski, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Karg, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Tuscarora's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Liverpool, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuscarora will host Penfield at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Liverpool, they will be playing at home against Baldwinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
