Payson had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Orem Tigers 61-30. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Tigers are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quincey Mathews continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 13 en route to 20 points along with five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Hales, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Payson's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Orem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Payson will be playing at home against Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season. As for Orem, they will take on Uintah at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
