Keystone got themselves on the board against Clearview on Monday, but Clearview never followed suit. They blew past the Clippers 16-0. Considering the Wildcats have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Samantha Pugh made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Keystone got a massive performance out of Bristol Foster, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Brooklyn Modock was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI.
Keystone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .366 or higher in 11 consecutive contests.
Keystone's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Clearview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
