Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Colony). They never let the Newman Smith Trojans get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The Colony's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Newman Smith, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, The Colony will venture away from home to challenge Highland Park at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Park has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.58 runs per game on average), something The Colony will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Newman Smith, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Reedy. Reedy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
