Football Game Preview: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals vs. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Royals will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over Holy Name. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Royals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Green Wave are ranked 215th).

It was another big night for Charley Levak, who rushed for 27 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 52 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
