Football Recap: Pine View Takes a Loss

Pine View and Skyline squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pine View had to settle for second. They fell 21-14 to the Eagles. It was the first time this season that the Panthers let down their fans at home.

Levi Shaw threw for 259 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brock Harris was his top target, picking up 184 receiving yards and two scores. On the ground, Garrett Gwilliam rushed for 72 yards.

Skyline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Cocci, who threw for 164 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 83 yards on only 11 carries. Alex Brown was in the mix as well, providing the Eagles with two scores.

Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Pine View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they will face off against Green Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
