Basketball Recap: Northwest Rankin Comes Up Short

After soaring to 65 points the game before, Northwest Rankin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Germantown Mavericks and fell 55-24. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured ten losses in a row dating back to last season.

Kayden Lee and Caleb Hobson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Lee posted four points, while Hobson had nine points.

Northwest Rankin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Germantown, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Northwest Rankin will be playing in front of their home fans against Choctaw Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Germantown, they are taking a road trip to square off against Morton at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st.
