With a playoff win on the line, Havelock rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eastern Alamance Eagles with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Havelock got a great performance from Cooper Sheley as he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Sheley also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Rams are 9-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Williams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brady Munson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Havelock lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

The win was the third in a row for Havelock, bringing their record up to 14-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern Alamance, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

As of now, neither Havelock nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
